Ms. Fiona Mola is a microfinance professional with 13 years of experience spanning customer service, operations, treasury, finance, and insurance. She has advanced from frontline positions such as Customer Service Officer and Teller to administrative and treasury roles supporting the Finance Team from her previous employer. Currently serving as a Compliance Officer, Fiona applies her regulatory knowledge, risk management expertise, and solid grounding in accounting and financial management to ensure sound practices. She also has practical experience in general and medical insurance, gained through working closely with brokers and insurers. In addition, Fiona has led AML/CTF awareness sessions and staff trainings, strengthening organizational compliance culture and enhancing frontline vigilance against financial crime.
Her diverse career path demonstrates versatility, reliability, and a commitment to financial inclusion, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
Mr. Boas Wartovo brings over 20 years of broad banking experience, beginning with a decade at Bank of South Pacific, where he progressed from Customer Service Officer to International Operations Supervisor at the Commercial Centre in Gordons. He has completed multiple professional banking courses through the PNG Institute of Banking and Business Management, earning a Diploma in Banking. He has three years of microfinance experience in senior roles with Kada Poroman Microfinance, serving as Teller Supervisor and later as Loan Recoveries Team Leader. Mr. Wartovo has also contributed his expertise to the National Development Bank, NAFUND, and SP Brewery.
He currently leads the Loan Recoveries Team at Mama Bank, applying his extensive industry knowledge and operational experience to support the bank’s recovery functions and overall portfolio performance.
Mr. Srinivas is a highly accomplished and results-driven Senior IT Professional with 20 years of extensive experience within the banking and financial services industry. Proven track record of leading complex digital transformation initiatives, modernizing core banking systems, and driving strategic IT projects from conception to completion. Expert in aligning technology solutions with business objectives, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring robust security and compliance frameworks. A dynamic leader skilled in building and managing high-performing teams, fostering innovation, and delivering measurable business value in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Mr. Nisia Lyakisia is an accountant and has 20 years of working experience of which he spent almost 10 years in the banking industry. He is a member of the CPA. Mr. Lyakisia is currently the Manager, Compliance, and Internal Auditor with Mama Bank taking charge of the bank’s systems, processes, and procedures. Mr. Lyakisia worked in various industries and shifted 4 jobs the last of which he joined Nationwide Micro Bank Limited in 2012 as the Central Processing Unit (CPU) Manager before joining Mama Bank. His wealth of experience includes Branch/Head Office Accountancy, Operations Procedures, and CPU Management. He also performs the role of internal auditor with Women’s Micro Bank Limited.
Mr. Prabhash Ranjan has extensive experience in women’s livelihoods, agri-business development, youth development, and large-scale education project management. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in social work and social sciences and has dedicated the past 17 years to contributing to organizations such as BSFL, Samiksha, Going to School, Kaivalya Education Foundation, and Piramal Foundation. As a social development professional, he believes that hard work and consistency are crucial for positive outcomes. He excels in human-centric approaches and the skillsets necessary to lead complex projects to successful completion. His deep-rooted experience includes working with tribal women, coastal communities, youth, and children. He has collaborated with various partners, including Reach Ivy, CSR-Box, and IBM-Skills Build, to develop progressive partnerships that contribute to the larger ecosystem. He brings these rich experiences to managing Women’s Micro Bank’s projects, driving impactful development initiatives.
Mr. Benjamin Terema has been a dedicated professional in the banking industry for over 8 years, with a significant focus on lending. His extensive experience includes a noteworthy tenure of 6 years with PNG Microfinance (PML) as a Senior Business Lender, managing a diverse loan portfolio ranging between K250,000 to K1 million. This role honed his skills in loan administration and client management, preparing him for more complex financial responsibilities.
Currently, Mr. Terema is thriving in his role as the Manager of Credit and Lending at Women’s Micro Bank Limited, a position he has held for the past year. His journey with the bank began as a Lending Officer and Credit Analyst, roles in which he demonstrated his keen analytical abilities and proficiency in loan administration. His potential and dedication quickly propelled him to his current managerial role. His expertise and leadership are invaluable assets to Women’s Micro Bank Limited, particularly in advancing its mission to support microfinance and community development initiatives.
Ashutosh is a seasoned professional with over 14 years of experience with a strong foundation in leadership, strategic planning, and client relationship management, and continues to drive success and innovation, making a significant impact in every role, he undertakes in Business Development, Sales, Marketing, and Operations across diverse industries such as Health, Retail, Sales, and Food & Beverage. Currently, he serves as the Business Development Manager at Women Micro Bank Ltd. (Mama Bank) in Port Moresby, PNG. Since joining in March 2024, he has been instrumental in strategizing and driving growth, enhancing market presence, and fostering financial inclusion initiatives tailored to women and underserved communities. Ashutosh is dedicated to fostering partnerships and identifying new opportunities that align with the bank’s mission to enhance financial inclusion. His experience in both financial services and public health uniquely positions him to bridge the gap between economic development and community well-being, making significant contributions to Mama Bank’s objectives. His commitment to driving positive change and his strategic approach to business development continue to propel Mama Bank toward achieving its goals.
Ms. Emmah Ulaban graduated with a Bachelor of Business Accountancy at Divine Word University, Madang. She currently is a Registered Accounting Graduate with CPA PNG. Ms. Ulaban have over 12 years work experience in the banking industry (microfinance) particularly in various departments such as Accounting & Finance, HR, Operations, Credit and Audit. Ten (10) years of her work was with Kada Poroman Microfinance Ltd at the Management Level. She has participated in various trainings and workshops conducted by CEFI, MEP and IBBM. Ms. Ulaban currently heads the Central Processing Unit of Mama Bank as the Manager.
Ms. Anna Tarum was elevated in November 2019 to the position of accountant to look after the finance department after the former Accountant left this bank. Anna has vast experience in accounting functions; payables, receivables FAR management accounting related tasks. She has been doing accounting functions with various organizations such as City Pharmacy, DHL Express Ltd, DHL Global Forwarding and POST PNG Ltd totaling 10 plus years. She now leads a team of 2 staff in the accounts department managing the financial affairs and operations of the bank. Ms. Tarum has a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from University of Papua New Guinea.
Ms. Bonnie Simeon holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management from Divine Word University, a certificate in HR Management & PNG HR Law with PNG Human Resource Institute. She builds her HR career with Lamana Hotel – HR Recruitment and Training Assistant. Bonnie joined Women’s Micro Bank in 2019 as HR Assistant and made her way up and now as the HR Manager. Ms. Simeon ensures that all primary functions of the HR department are been executed. She leads the HR department which involves HR recruitment, payroll, staff benefits, performance management and staff training and development.
Mr. Rex Noga has over 20 years of experience, most of these years have been spent in the banking industry, as a Banker. He has experience in Commercial Banking and also the Microfinance Finance Banking Industries. Initially starting as a customer service officer in his career, he has worked his way up over the years where he has elevated into the supervisory and then management positions over time. In commercial banking he has experience in customer service, telling, back office, electronic banking, international banking, and consumer lending. In the microfinance industry, he has experience in both Operations and Lending. He was employed by PNG Microfinance Ltd for ten (10) years, as a Senior Manager, before being employed by Mama Bank. Mr. Noga currently holds the position of Operations Manager, taking charge of the day-to-day operations of the Branches and Head Office.
Mr. Gunanidhi Das has over 22 years of experience of which 17 years of micro-finance experience across Asia in India, Timore Liste, Nepal, Myanmar, and has been working in PNG for the last 8 years supporting micro finance institutions with their operational viability. He was engaged by the project of Bank of PNG called “Microfinance Expansion Project” which was funded by ADB to provide mentorship to Micro Finance organisations, Savings and Loan Societies and streamlining their systems and procedures for business growth. Such include Kada Poroman Microfinance Ltd (KPML), East New Britain Savings and Loan Society Ltd (ENBSLS), Niu Ailan Savings and Loan Society Ltd (NASLS), Manus Savings and Loan Society Ltd (MSLS). He was a Business Mentor to these microfinance institutions in PNG entails an assessment of existing systems and making recommendations where appropriate; providing support for software installation, training, after sales support, operations in lending and field-based capacity building. With these organizations he has been involved in formulating strategy around product development and reaching the target market in rural areas and emphasized that products and services need to be customer-centric (demand-driven), rather than organization-centric (supply-driven).
